We were passing through town and found this place. It's clearly a Locals place as we stuck out like sore thumbs. It was packed and we sat at the bar as no tables were available. It has an old time diner feel. Nothing fancy, but the restaurant was very clean. Tables were cleaned promptly when customers left. The employees were friendly and very busy. They quickly served the customers and didn't slow down the entire time I was there. The food was delivered quickly and was piping hot. The portions are huge and fairly priced. The Navajo Taco was gigantic and can easily be shared. It had plenty of meat, beans, and other fresh ingredients. The jumbo combo came with rice and refried beans. The beans were some of the best I have ever eaten. The taco, enchilada, and tamales that came with the combo were also delicious.
Probably the best Navajo taco we had at a restaurant in Gallup. Staff was all very friendly and attentive family environment.
Food was outstanding! We were traveling across country and so wanted some New Mexico food with Hatch chilies.
Amazing hot green chili food was great as well! Service was very friendly. Will gladly recommend for Mexican food. Prices well too. Will be definitely returning for some chili.
Such a welcoming place the people are beautiful. They will come with a smile the services more than 100% the food is excellent. The green chili and red sauce were awesome. I had Navajo taco for breakfast. My husband had omelette with the green and red chili. We ended up with soapilla for dessert. Not too far from I-40. Worth the stop.
